EXCLUSIVE: Varun Sood talks about people focusing on his good looks; says, “If you can’t act, there’s no point in being good-looking”

Actor Varun Sood has recently released his show Call Me Bae which is headlined by Ananya Panday. The series was released on September 6 on Amazon Prime and it is already garnering good response from the fans. In the series, Varun Sood essays the role of Prince – a celebrity trainer and is a visual treat. However, during a candid conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Varun talked about the disadvantages of being good-looking and losing roles.

Varun Sood on ‘good looks’ tag

He exclusively told us, “I think maybe in reality it’s a big factor. Of course, if a character requirement is to look a certain way then it is considered, then your looks are considered but then eventually you have to play a character. You have to take a story forward and that can’t just depend on how good-looking you are. You’ve to know what you’re doing, you have to know your craft, you have to crack the audition. If you can’t act then there’s no point in being good-looking. You have to eventually come on screen and do your part, emote that emotion. If you’re just good looking then just stay mute in the scene.“
